40 Compliments Every Child Should Hear

40 Compliments Every Child Should Hear

A large part of our childhood memories are connected to small but important moments we remember for many years to come. Not because of what occurred but because of how we felt. Some made us angry or lonely, while others made us hopeful, made us laugh and feel optimistic.

Compliments and simple words of encouragement have a lasting effect on the way our children and grandchildren will see the world. Some of the simplest and shortest words can make them feel better about themselves and continue to encourage them through hard times as well.

Below are 40 compliments and encouragements every child or grandchild needs to hear. They are simple to say, but will stay with them for years, we promise!

8 Signs Of People Who Aren't Ready For A Real Relationship

You either want to be in a relationship or you don’t, but some people just can't wrap their head around this concept. This obviously isn’t fair to the person they're with.

It’s ok to not want a committed relationship, as long as both the people understand the casualness of it rather than letting the other one in a state of emotional despair.

So this article is for all those who might be stuck in a dead-end relationship and are clueless about it.

Watch out for these signs, cut your losses and get out before it’s too late.

1. They pick on stupid reasons to start a fight.
It might be something as small as you turning up 10 minutes late, and they will turn it into something much bigger and make you feel immensely guilty about it.

They subconsciously want a way out of this relationship and think if they pick fights often enough, you will eventually just give in.
2. They don’t want to mingle with your friends or your family.
Every time you invite them out with your friends or family, they’re conveniently busy. Even when you talk aboit it to them, they are plain uninterested.

They don’t want to form deep ties with the people in your life because they simply don’t plan to stick around for long enough.
3. They refrain from talking about the future of the relationship with you.
Whenever you try to ask questions like where this relationship is heading at, they conveniently ignore it by asking you to quit worrying about the future and start 'living in the moment'.

They’re afraid to label your relationship and be tied down.
4. They don’t put in enough efforts and you’re the one making all the sacrifices.
Whether it’s travelling long distances to meet them, staying up late just so that you can chat with them for a while when they’ve had a busy day or simply just being the first one to text or call all the time, they just don’t seem to care or make an effort to make you feel important.
5. All their past relationships haven’t really ended too well.
They have a lot of baggage because of which they might be emotionally unavailable.

Their past relationships might have not ended to well which led them to building a wall around themselves that you just can’t scale no matter how hard you try.
6. They’ve been hurt way too many times in the past.
They might have been cheated on or dumped in the past which had led them to closing their heart to others. They don’t want to go through the same thing again and find it extremely difficult to trust anyone and let them in.
7. They focus on the negative aspects of the relationship.
They’re always talking about what is wrong between the two of you rather than focusing on what's right. They’re always cribbing and picking up fights based on things that have happened in the past instead trying to rectify their mistakes.
8. They often talk about wanting to be free even though you’re not really binding them.
You haven’t made a till death do us commitment and they’re free to leave, you might not even be too pushy and give them their space and yet they complain of being suffocated and feeling tied down.

If this is the case maybe you should let them go before you’re too deeply involved!

7 Things We All Want To Tell Our Parents But We Don't!

We all know that our parents love us ardently. We also know that there’s nothing that we cannot share with them thinking they won’t understand.
But even then, there are certain things that we tend to hide from them because we don’t know with certainity, how they will react. Due to this fear, we keep things to ourselves and wonder how it would be if we could tell them everything.

Well, I don’t know when you will get the courage to tell them whatever you feel, but I have figured out a few of those things that most of us want to tell our parents

Let’s see if yours is listed among these 7 things.
1. We hate it when they pressurize us to study.
We know that our parents are worried about our future for our betterment, but they are hurting us in the process, while doing so.

Already the pressure of clearing exams and scoring well is too high and in such situations, our minds are just not capable of dealing with the additional burden of expectations that comes from our parents; it just makes it worse for us.
2. We don’t like how they have so many expectations from us.
It’s understandable that we are their kids and they want us to behave in a certain manner, but we have our own life too.

Whether it is about our career or our love life, we want to choose it on our own and not as per our parents’ expectations.
3. We want to be something other than what they want.
No, we don’t want to be a doctor, engineer, teacher or get an MBA because they want us to be, we will if that's where our passion truly lies.

What's the harm if we turn out photographers, dancers, writers and other things that help us bring out the best of our creativity. Only if all parents could understand that.
4. We want to talk about our love life.
Wouldn't it be amazing if we could actually tell them about the person we like and who we are dating? After all, shouldn't they be the first ones to know what is going on in our lives and help deal with our problems should we run into a few?

We want to live in a world where we can pick a person to date and be transparent about it with our parents and not have them wonder about what society would think.
5. We need our space too.
We know that we are lucky to have a family and we cherish every single moment we spend with them. But there comes a time when we want a little privacy and space and we hesitate in asking for the same. How I wish we could!
6. We get drunk and wild.

Who wouldn’t want to tell all their drunk and wild stories to their parents? Unfortunately, if we ever tell them, we know the consequences won’t be in our favour, huh?

In an ideal world, we wouldn't even mind drinking with our parents, would we?
 7. How much we love them.
We live in a time where none of us are as expressive as we should be towards our parents. That’s why we don’t even remember the last time we said ‘I love you’ to them. Well, you can say this now!
