Filter Your Mind

The mind gets spammed by so much stuff through the day. Input comes from all directions, from the subconscious, other people, media....
As so much of it is useless, the mind just gets clogged.
To filter out the spam, give yourself a moment in the morning, during lunch, tea breaks, and before bed.

Solutions
Whenever we face problems we tend to blame situations and people and
feel that these problems have come to take away our power. We begin to
wish for something to happen to change the situation so that we can be
free from the problem itself. But it normally seems to take a long
time before the situation changes. The only way we can be free from the
problem is to create a solution for it. The situation will not change
on its own but we need to create some solution for it. This is what
brings inner strength which is because of what we have discovered
within while working on our problem.

15 Ways to Raise Your Metabolism

Making Assumptions

Assumptions are a part and parcel of life. We make so many assumptions about people, places and things.

Assumptions are when we believe something to be true without actually knowing it to be so. We use assumptions as facts in our decision making process.

When our assumptions are wrong, we may hurt others, make things complicated or have a misunderstanding.

So, don't do it. Don't assume! Be curious and ask for more information. Take the time to find out the facts.

This is a warning for woman planning to marry software engineers in the form of a conversation between a husband (software engineer) and his wife. Look before you leap !!!

A wife is waiting for her husband who is a software engineer. After sometimes, the husband arrives.

HUSBAND:
(opening the door and entering in) Hi dear! I am LOGGED IN.
WIFE: Thank God that you have arrived. Have you brought saree?

HUSBAND: BAD COMMAND OR FILE NAME .
WIFE: But I told you about in the morning.

HUSBAND: ERRONEOUS SYNTAX, ABORT, RETRY, CANCEL
WIFE: O my God...... Ok forget it. Tell me where's your salary?

HUSBAND: FILE IN USE, READ ONLY, TRY AFTER SOME TIME
WIFE: At least give me your credit card. so that I can do some shopping.

HUSBAND: SHARING VIOLATION. ACCESS DENIED.
WIFE: I made a mistake in marring you.

HUSBAND: DATA TYPE MISMATCH.
WIFE: You are useless.

HUSBAND: BY DEFAULT.
WIFE: Who was there in the car you this morning?

HUSBAND: SYSTEM UNSTABLE. PRESS ANY KEY TO REBOOT.
WIFE: Ok leave it. Would you like to have some snacks?

HUSBAND: HARD DISK FULL.
WIFE: What is the relation between you and your receptionist?

HUSBAND: THE ONLY USER WITH RIGHT PERMISSION .
WIFE: What is my value in your life?

HUSBAND: UNKNOWN VIRUS DETECTED .
WIFE: Do you love me or your computer?
HUSBAND: TOO MANY PARAMETERS.

WIFE: I will go to my dad's house !!!
HUSBAND: PROGRAMME PERFORMED ILLEGAL OPERATION. IT WILL CLOSE.

WIFE: I will leave you for ever.
HUSBAND:CLOSE ALL PROGRAMMES AND LOG IN FOR ANOTHER USER.

WIFE: It is worthless talking to you husband.
HUSBAND: SHUT DOWN THE COMPUTER.
WIFE: I'm going.

10 Things You Should Be Doing Every Day

When you get caught up in the everyday cycle of waking up, working, eating and sleeping it is often easy to forget about your health and well-being. Here are 10 things that you should be doing every day that will help you organise and be a better person not only for yourself but for those around you.

1. Tell someone close to you that you love them

It really is true what they say – life is too short not to tell someone close to you that you love them. Whether thats a family member, friend or your significant other all it takes is a quick message or a phone call and you can make someones day so much better with a simple gesture that takes a matter of minutes.

2. Exercise

Exercise is important and you should do some form of exercise every day. You don’t have to run miles or spend hours at the gym and life and work can easily get in the way. If you set aside at least 20 minutes a day to physically push yourself the change in your health can be huge. Exercise improves emotional state and your ability to focus. Keeping to this routine will also help you develop self discipline which is a great trait to have.

3. Learn something new & challenge yourself

The world is a hugely diverse place full on new an interesting things. You can learn new languages, travel and explore new locations, meet new people and push yourself out of your comfort zone. It is all to easy to get stuck in the cycle of everyday life.

4. Organise 5 minutes of quietness and alone time.

Do Not Surrender to Negativity

Negativity is an unseen force, and as such we hardly give it enough 'credit' for causing damage to our lives. And yet, negativity affects us at every turn, every day of our life. Not just our own negativity, but also that of others. And while life is hard, negativity only serves to make it harder.









It's Hard For Me To Think Positively
Many of us believe that when we feel down, we should try to focus inwardly and evaluate our feelings and our situation in order to attain self-insight and find solutions that might ultimately resolve our problems and relieve unhappiness. Susan Nolen-Hoeksema, I, and others have compiled a great deal of evidence challenging this assumption. Numerous studies over the past two decades have shown that to the contrary, over thinking ushers in a host of adverse consequences: It sustains or worsens sadness, fosters negatively biased thinking, impairs a person's ability to solve problems, saps motivation, and interferes with concentration and initiative. Moreover, although people have a strong sense that they are gaining insight into themselves and their problems during their ruminations, this is rarely the case. What they do gain is a distorted, pessimistic perspective on their lives.

Be Punctual

Be punctual. To arrive early, or right on time, is a sign of respect for yourself and others.
By being punctual you reduce your stress levels and 
avoid causing inconvenience to others.
The key is planning. Allow extra time in your preparations and for any delays.
Remember, getting ready, even locking the door, 
catching the lift, walking to the car, the tube... all takes time.
Maybe, the secret to punctuality is as simple as waking up when you're supposed to wake up!


Power of Silence
Sometimes you are trying to remember something, its within your reach, on the tip of your tongue, but it is just isn't coming out. Everyone around is suggesting something or trying to help, but in reality not helping at all. You wish for a moment of silence, so that you can dive into your memory bank, for you know that is the only way you will be able to remember. This is the power of silence in action. Many, not recognizing its power, do not value it. They turn their heads away from the thought of a few moments of silence. They feel it a punishment.

When we find our thoughts moving in many directions because of external
demands on our attention, we need to stop, take a rain check on
everything and experience silence. This power of silence is essential
when we want to plan for the future, we should silence unnecessary
thoughts and think of a point in question. So when you get an
opportunity of a moment's silence, don't waste that precious moment.
Use it to store the strength within that is so necessary for dealing
with the world without.

A Good MORAL STORY

There once was a king who offered a prize to the artist who would paint the best picture of peace. Many artists tried. The king looked at all the pictures, but there were only two he really liked and he had to choose between them.
One picture was of a calm lake. The lake was a perfect mirror, for peaceful towering mountains were all around it. Overhead was a blue sky with fluffy white clouds. All who saw the picture thought it was a perfect picture of peace.
The other picture had mountains, too. But these were rugged and bare. Above was an angry sky from which rain fell, and in which lightening played. Down the side of the mountain tumbled a foaming waterfall. This did not look peaceful at all. But when the king looked closely, he saw behind the waterfall a tiny bush growing in a crack in the rock. In the bush a mother bird had her nest. There in the midst of the rush of angry water, sat the mother bird on her nest.
The king chose the second picture as the winner. "Because," explained the king, "peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. Peace means to be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in your heart. That is the real meaning of peace."

LOGIC + ATTITUDE

1) Heavy rains remind us of challenges in life. Never ask for a lighter rain.Just pray for a better umbrella. That is attitude.
2) When flood comes, fish eat ants when flood recedes, ants eat
fish. Only time matters. Just hold on, God gives opportunity to
everyone!
3) Some people always throw stones in your path. It depends on you what you make with them,Wall or Bridge? Remember you are the architect of your life.
4) Every problem has (n+1) solutions, where n is the number of solutions that you have tried and 1 is that you have not tried. That’s life.
5) It’s not important to hold all the good cards in life. But it’s important how well you play with the cards which you hold.
6) Often when we lose all hope think this is the end, God smiles from above and says, `relax dear its just a bend. Not the end. Have Faith and have a successful life.
7) When you feel sad, to cheer up just go to the mirror and say, `DamnI am really so cute`and you will overcome your sadness. But don’t make this a habit coz liars go to hell.
One of the basic differences between God and human is, God gives, gives and forgives. But human gets, gets, gets and forgets. Be thankful in life!
