Dare to be Yourself

“Your only obligation in any life time is to be true to yourself. Being true to anyone else or anything else is not only impossible, but the mark of a fake mission.”
--Richard Boch

“I was strolling in the gardens of an insane asylum when I met a young man who was reading a philosophy book. His behaviour and his evident good health made him stand out from the other inmates.
I sat down beside him and asked, “What are you doing here?”
He looked at me, surprised, but seeing that I was not the one of the doctors, he replied, ‘It’s very simple. My father, a brilliant lawyer, wanted me to be like him. My uncle, who owns a large emporium, hoped I would follow his example. My mother wanted me to be the image of her beloved father. My sister always set her husband before me as an example of a successful man. My brother tried to train me up to be a fine athlete like himself.
And at the same thing happened at school, with the piano teacher and English teacher – they were all determined that they were the best possible examples to follow. None of them looked at me as one should look at a man, but as if they were looking in a mirror. So I decided to enter into this asylum. At least here I can be myself.’ (A story by Khalil Gibran)
Being your desired self is something within your potentials. You have been born to be your best self. It is your birth right to be what you intend to be.
Sometimes, go to a peaceful place and visualize all you wanted to be. Think of strategies and action plans and keep taking the steps towards your desired self. Acquire knowledge and skills required to be what you always wanted to be.
Success means having the courage, the determination, and the will to become the person you believe you are meant to be.

Factors That Shape Our Perception

The factors that contribute to creating our perception (way of looking at the self, situations, people, etc.) are our memories, experiences, beliefs, values, people, places, situations and time. Out of all these factors there are two, which are chiefly, responsible for creating our perception: our beliefs and our experiences.

The first thing you should do is to have a clearer perception of yourself. You should develop the perception of who you really are and what your true identity is. This does not refer to the image you see every day in the mirror. Your external appearance or physical beauty, your age, your gender, your occupation, your status in society should not be the basis for your self-perception. You may live with others or alone, have a family, run a business or have a job, which you undertake with responsibility. What is your conscience, however, while you are doing these tasks? This will lead you to a clear perception of yourself.
We have been brought up and conditioned to have a perception of everything that is external: perception of other people at the workplace or in the family, of other countries, of movies, of the country's cricket team, of what our neighbors are doing, of the government and so on. However, the last thing we have a perception of is ourselves. We thus lose the internal link with our own happiness and our own peace. When we re-establish the perception of our true identity (the correct way of looking at ourselves) based on spiritual knowledge, we are capable of recognizing all the false beliefs about ourselves that have taken root in our inner selves. When we discover these beliefs we are capable of recognizing those sanskars of ourselves we need to change.
In the next few messages, we shall be discussing a few factors that shape our perception.

Precautionary Guidelines For Mobile Users

Mobile users are advised to take following precautionary measures while using a mobile handset:

1. Keep distance – Hold the cell phone away from body to the extent possible.

2. Use a headset (wired or Bluetooth) to keep the handset away from your head.

3. Do not press the phone handset against your head. Radio Frequency (RF) energy is inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the source -- being very close increases energy absorption much more.

4. Limit the length of mobile calls.

5. Use text (SMS) as compared to voice wherever possible.

6. Put the cell phone on speaker mode.

7. Use your phone where reception is good. If the radio signal is weak, a mobile phone will increase its transmission power. Find a strong signal and avoid movement.

8. Metal water are good conductors of radio waves so avoid using a mobile phone while wearing metal-framed glasses or having wet hair.

9. Let the call connect before putting the handset on your ear or start speaking and listening – A mobilee phone first makes the communication at higher power and then reduces power to an adequate level. More power is radiated during call connecting time.

10. If you have a choice, use a landline (wired) phone, not a mobile phone.

11. When your phone is ON, don't carry it in chest/breast or pants pocket.
When a mobile phone is ON, it automatically transmits at high power every one or two minutes to check (poll) the network.

12. Reduce mobile phone use by children as a younger person will likely have a longer lifetime exposure to radiation from cell phones.

13. People having active medical implants should preferably keep the cell phone at least 15cm away from the medical implant.

While Purchasing a Mobile Handset check the SAR value of the mobile phone. It can be searched on internet if its model number and make is known.

14. The RF radiation is increased by Mobile phones when used in a car to overcome the window shielding.

15. It severely affects the reproductive systems of both male and females;deformity of unborn babies in the
womb itself.

Disheartenment to Cheerfulness

Don't engage too many thoughts on the 'reasons' behind situations;
Work on the solutions.
Maintain elevated good feelings for the family and world
Their nature should not change your sanskars.
Use the course of realisation to end yours and others' weaknesses.
Your right mind hold all the answers
My cheerful face will end the sorrow of others and spread peace.
Cheerfulness is the result of diving into true knowledge.
My face can bloom when I maintain an spiritual stage and spiritual
outlook.
Look closely at your personality: remember whose child you are.
The nourishment of happiness makes us strong on the service field.
I can only share when my treasure-store of happiness is full.
Do not accept even a 'pinch of sorrow' from people or situations.
Follow God's elevated teachings and you will never have to
lower your head.
Inner stability means neither arrogance nor low self-esteem.
Visualise the world through your Third Eye and
as Knower of Three aspects of Time.
Earn an income naturally by valuing all the attainments received
through humanity.

Top 10 Healthy Drinks To Loose Weight

When it comes to weight loss, substituting healthy
drinks for those sugary sodas and energy drinks can have a drastic
effect on your weight loss goals. Most people don't realize how many
calories they take in each day from drinks alone. For instance, a caffe
mocha with all the fixings can pack in over 500 calories! So as you can
see, switching to healthier drinks and ditching the "junk drinks" will
greatly reduce your daily caloric intake and in return start shredding
those unwanted pounds. Check out this list of the top 10 healthy drinks
that can help you reach your weight loss goals...

1. Vegetable Juice

Vegetable juice is every bit as nutritious as fruit juice but with
about half the calories. Most vegetable juices are also rich in fiber
which can help make you feel full and in turn eat less.

2. Fruit Smoothies

Mix-up a delicious batch of smoothies using your favorite fruits and a
little bit of skim milk. Do not consume smoothies with added sugar,
whipped cream, honey, or other sweeteners that can add hundreds of
calories-in other words, don't eat smoothies from your favorite local
restaurant or ice-cream shop and think that you're eating healthy
because you're not!

3. Fruit Juice

Fruit juices have loads of vitamins and nutrients, but it's important
to make sure that there's no added sugar...sorry Sunny D and Tang! Also
remember that the pulpier, the better. Fruit juice with lots of pulp
contains added fiber that can help you feel more full and eat less.

4.Black Coffee

Coffee has plenty of positive health benefits and best of all, it
contains no calories! Black coffee is rich in antioxidants that can
help boost your mood, improve concentration, reduce the risk of
diabetes and cancer, as well as many other benefits. Keep you coffee
consumption at 4 cups or less per day-as with anything, moderation is
the key.

5.Green Tea

Like coffee, green tea has a plethora of positive health benefits and
contains plenty of helpful antioxidants. It also helps to boost your
metabolism if consumed on a daily basis, which can help to speed up
your body's fat-burning mechanism-as much as a 40% increase in some
cases!

6. Milk

The calcium in Low-fat or skim milk can help contribute to the
breakdown of fat cells in your body. Too much milk, though, can pack on
the pounds because it does contain a lot of calories, so stick to 3-4
small servings per day in order to benefit from milk's weight loss
benefits.

7. Protein Drinks

Protein drinks, such as from powders or pre-mixed varieties, can have a
great effect on your weight loss regiment, because lean muscle is very
efficient at burning fat. In other words, the more muscle you have, the
more fat your body will burn. Protein is a big part of this equation,
because it's the building block of muscle growth.

8. Fiber Drinks

There's many fiber-rich drinks on the market today, and they can be a
great tool for any weight loss program. Fiber helps to make your body
feel full, and it also has plenty of other positive health benefits as
well

9. Apple Cider Vinegar

Sounds a little gross, and it may be too gross for some people to try,
but apple cider vinegar is a sort-of "old school" health drink that was
very popular in the '70s as a weight loss tool. Although there aren't
any scientific studies that actually prove it works, many fitness gurus
swear by it, saying that it greatly boosts your metabolism if taken
regularly...Hey, it's worth a try!

10. Ice Water

Probably the most powerful weight loss tool at your disposal, and also
the cheapest, is plain old ice water (who'd a thunk!). Drinking plenty
of water is great for your body because it helps you feel full, boosts
your metabolism, and it contains zero calories. Furthermore, some
studies suggest that drinking just two extra glasses of ice water per
day can help boost your metabolism by as much as 30%. This equates to
about 5 pounds of fat loss per year!
